Preventing Sex Trafficking in the Tourism Industry – Training

There will be a training on Monday June 11th at 7pm in Raleigh for those who are interested in making calls to hotels for the DNC. Info:

Preventing Sex Trafficking in the Tourism Industry – Training June 11, 7 PM

NC Stop Human Trafficking will be holding an ECPAT (Ending Child Prostitution and Trafficking) training session for our group members on June 11th at 7pm. There will be a presentation addressing the proliferation of child sex trafficking in the tourism industry, and how we can work with the media and hotel managers to create a no-tolerance standard relating to sex trafficking in our local hotel industry.
While you will receive a copy of the presentation, please bring something to take notes on, and a few dollars to cover the speaker’s gas expenses as she is coming from Charlotte.
We’re very excited about this opportunity and hope that many of our group members will be able to attend. Hotels provide an easy and discrete location to traffic children. This training will equip us with the tools to cut down on the opportunities for Johns and Pimps to abuse children in local area hotels.
