THIS MONTH’S TOPIC:  After Half the Sky: NC’s Global Health Work with Women
Half the Sky, a book by Nicholas Kristof & Sheryl Wudunn, lays out an agenda for the world’s women and three major abuses that continue to threaten women and their health. What are we in the women’s health community doing (both here in North Carolina as well as globally) after ‘Half the Sky’? What is our strategy/challenge to make a difference? Let’s share and exchange ideas about women who have little power over their health and these related topics:
•    Sexuality
•    Gender inequality
•    Childbirth mortality and morbidity
•    Family planning/prenatal care
•    STD’s/HIV
•    Nutrition/poverty
•    Victimization/violence/rape
•    Trafficking adolescent girls
•    Forced marriage/socialization
Please RSVP by Friday, March 19, to Nicole Fouche at triangleglobalhealth@gmail.com or 919-280-0827 by close-of-business indicating one of the following:
