Organizations from across North Carolina are joining the fight against human trafficking and, now, so can you! Join us this weekend – Saturday, August 25 – for a unique opportunity to meet everyday heroes throughout the state who have dedicated their lives to restoring freedom for all!
The Democratic National Convention will bring thousands of visitors to Charlotte and, therefore, will be a magnet for sex trafficking. Don’t be mistaken; this is happening in your community – along with other forms of human trafficking. The goal of NC Stop Human Trafficking is to raise awareness, educate the public, and inspire action. Don’t miss your chance in making a difference in your community and, potentially, saving lives. Take action now by reserving your spot today for the Pre-DNC Restore Freedom Rally: www.restorefreedom.eventbrite.com.
Your transforming experience at the Pre-DNC Restore Freedom Rally will begin with a warm cup of fair trade coffee that you can enjoy as you tour the world of modern day slavery through multiple displays/activities and speak with advocates/survivors, and will end with you leaving as a modern day abolitionist equipped to stand up for freedom – a human right that 27 million people in the world don’t have.
Pre-DNC Restore Freedom Rally
Saturday, August 25, 2012
10 am – 3 pm
Good Shepherd Church
11130 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC
Are you an organization that would like a booth at this event? If so, please register here by Wednesday (limited spots available). Join us after the Rally from 5 – 8 pm for a statewide meeting to discuss campaign plans for Prevention, Advocacy, Victim Services, and Education/Awareness efforts in the coming year and beyond. In addition, there will be a lobbyist from the Christian Action League to discuss how to lobby in NC and to help us begin a comprehensive legislative framework that we will refine through monthly conference calls up until January 2013.

So why is an anti-Human Trafficking group encouraging you to buy Fair Trade products?
Fair Trade certification means that no slave labor and no child labor were used in the making of a product. It is exploitation free!
Buying Fair Trade products is Human Trafficking PREVENTION.
We’ll have beautiful Christmas ornaments and nativities made all over the world, made by artisans made a fair wage, so they can provide for their families.
